Jamie Jones, BSE,MAE,EdS
Lead Instructor – Upper Middle and High School Grades

Jamie is the Lead Instructor of the high school grade students. Sometimes in helping adolescents overcome their weaknesses, we neglect to detect and cultivate their strengths. Yet, in an adult world, what counts most is the strength of an individual’s strengths. Every kid has strengths! They simply await discovery. This is what Jamie is especially good at doing.

Because of their critical importance and enormous potential for redeeming adolescents, Jamie makes strength delineation and management a part of every educational plan for each of his students. Their affinities—areas of knowledge toward which a student feels a strong attachment—are also vital. Jamie seeks to help each student’s affinities evolve into domains of expertise. He helps each one to be an expert at something because he knows that their affinities will not come forth and grow automatically. Instead, he knows his main job is to help them find and exploit their assets.

Jamie received an Associate of Science Degree from Walter’s State Community College in Criminal Justice and is a former correction’s officer. He is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a B.S. degree in English. He has a Masters degree in Administration and Supervision and an Educational Specialist degree also from LMU and holds Tennessee teacher certification. He previously worked in special education for the Claiborne County Schools. Jamie, along with his wife, Brandi, who is our Sylvan Director of Education and their dogs live in Cookeville.
