Krisy Evitts, B.S.E.E.
Lead Teacher – Lower Middle Grades

Krisy is lead teacher of the upper primary level grade students. As we discover more and more about how different minds learn differently, Krisy has a unique opportunity with this class to increase students who experience true academic success. Armed with new insights into brain function, she helps her students develop their unique strengths while overcoming the negative effects of their weaknesses.
 
Krisy is well trained in the revealing signs of specific differences in learning, how to identify these in the classroom and how to mange students with learning problems more effectively. She teaches in an environment where students who struggle are not burdened with diagnostic labels but instead their profiles of strengths and weaknesses in academic learning are determined and managed effectively. Krisy’s classroom offers an atmosphere in which it is safe to make mistakes and take some risks in one’s thinking and expression. Krisy has a gift for excellent classroom management and also strives to help the parents become close partners in educating their child.
 
A graduate of Tennessee Tech University, Krisy has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and holds Tennessee teacher certification. She has prior work experience teaching in a pilot program for Integrated Thematic Instruction at Stone Elementary in Georgia. Krisy, her husband Joey who is an agent for Farm Bureau and their toddler son live in Sparta.
