Greetings!
Welcome to Sylvan Prep Academy. This is an exciting time in the life of our school. I invite you to visit our school and learn more about us. We are a PreK-Grade 12 credentialed, private school. Our individualized program, low student to teacher ratio, and research-based educational approach to teaching allows our students to reach their full potential. We believe that unique kids should be uniquely inspired.
Our curriculum is designed around the multiple intelligences and provides opportunities for all kinds of minds to be successful. Our small class sizes provide the flexibility for field studies, hands on experiments, learning through games and activities, and social interaction with peers.
Sharing our knowledge and experiences with the community is an integral part of our mission. We host parent workshops and teacher in-services for area educational professionals and have a Diagnostic Center which offers testing for learning differences.

Head of School
Jamie received an Associate of Science Degree from Walter’s State Community College in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University with a B.S. degree in English. He also has a Masters degree in Administration and Supervision and an Educational Specialist degree from LMU and is a candidate for his docorate degree in Educational Leadership. He holds Tennessee teacher certification. Previously he worked in special education for Claiborne County Schools. He and his wife, Brandi McPeek-Jones, live in Cookeville.
